aren't holidays the best?
as far as i'm concerned, it's a good excuse to get together with family and friends and plan a party around a theme! i'm busy cleaning and preparing the menu for the next few days, as our families are coming in town to visit, and finding inspiration from these great ideas below!

one. how sweet is that poke cake?? i adore the idea of putting a sparkler in the dessert before serving! two. our icecream maker is definitely coming out this week and homemade icecream sandwiches are in the running. three. twizzlers wrapped as fireworks, get out of here! so cute! a great idea for a party favor. four. of course, the ring pop takes the cake for a party favor...dar.ling! five. watermelon cut out in the shape of stars...why haven't i thought of this? this will definitely be making an appearance on our table this week. six. red, white and blue salsa...perfect appetizer. seven. i think the pom poms as center pieces are the perfect, easy festive touch! eight. and nine. a flag or a parasol will have to find themselves in our repertoire this week as well. it's the little things, y'all!
how will you be celebrating this week?

Love that cake! And Happy July! Cannot believe it's here already!
